2024.01.01New Year’s Greeting from the CEO

Happy New Year from Japan!

I am Toshi Maeda, CEO of Pacific Bridge Media and Consulting in Tokyo. As we welcome the year 2024, we extend our best wishes to you, your family and your loved ones.

Last year, everything went almost back to normal as the COVID-19 pandemic began to subside. Our team had a productive year, creating quality content for both domestic and international clients, with some appearing on major media outlets such as Discovery Channel and Netflix.

We also provided editorial, technical and logistic support to a number of “hybrid” global business events that combined in-person and online participants.
It was a successful second year for J-Stories, our solutions-focused news service, as it gained attention from major media outlets like J-Wave radio station.

Our network also expanded. Last year, we formed a partnership with “Mainichi Future Creation Lab,” which is Mainichi Newspapers’ startup accelerator. We also teamed up with PR Newswire, the world’s largest content distributor in the PR industry. These partnerships will only accelerate the global reach of the multimedia content that we produce.

We also strengthened our ties in Europe by developing collaborations with Germany’s multilingual news platform ‘J-Big” as well as with the startup community in Spain.

In other words, Pacific Bridge is now building bridges to the Atlantic!

And this year promises to be even more exciting. We’ll soon be launching a new service to produce multimedia news releases – including video content – for our clients, which can be distributed globally thanks to PR Newswire’s worldwide distribution network.

At the end of February, J-Stories will co-host its first global pitch event in partnership with the Mainichi newspaper, the government of Tokyo and other supporters. This event will help Japanese startups connect with international investors and venture capitalists participating online from across the globe.

Finally, in 2024, we’ll be entering our 15th year. We’re excited to continue our journey, doing all that we can to energize Japan and the world through content creation and storytelling that connects people.
Our team continues to grow with all of us planning to do more exciting projects with you. From all us at PBMC, happy year of the Dragon!
