On January 30, the Tokyo Innovation Base (TiB) in Yurakucho hosted “Global Day 2025 Winter” to mark the 100-day countdown until the SusHi Tech Tokyo 2025 conference, Asia’s largest startup event focusing on global sustainability. As the co-representative of Startup Island Taiwan’s Tokyo office, our CEO warmly introduced Taiwan-based startups, including unicorns and rising stars, who will join the event. This will be the largest SusHi Tech Tokyo yet.

Taiwanese startups have been integral players in SusHi Tech Tokyo. About 40 companies joined the event last year and this year, more Taiwan-based startups are coming with their exciting innovations. Our CEO highlighted Taiwan’s strong track record in Silicon Valley. He highlighted the key roles of Taiwan-born founders in unicorns like NVIDIA and major companies like YouTube and Yahoo. He also emphasized that the growing collaboration between Japan and Taiwan will boost the growth and dynamics of Tokyo’s startup ecosystem.

Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike was at the event to announce the details for SusHi Tech Tokyo 2025. She revealed that this year’s conference will be the largest to date, aiming to welcome 50,000 participants, over 500 international VCs, and 5,000 business meetings.

SusHi Tech Tokyo 2025 will be held from May 8-9, 2025, with a public day on May 10 at Tokyo Big Sight.
